As a purpose-driven credit union, this day of support truly reflects our commitment to uplifting and enhancing the wellbeing of not just our members, but the communities they are part of.
- David Snodgrass, President and CEO of Lake Trust
There’s power in working together to uplift our Michigan neighborhoods. In giving back in service. And working together to strengthen our communities.

As a purpose-driven credit union, we have a responsibility to make a positive impact. And our Lake Trust team members believe in our shared vision to work toward a world in which everyone thrives.
The commitment to support wellbeing drives the Lake Trust team to remain active volunteers in their communities all year long. In 2024, the Lake Trust team dedicated a total of 5,744 volunteer and community engagement hours across Michigan. These service hours were spent engaged with local nonprofits to support their vital work. From assisting in community gardens, public schools, housing nonprofits, local food pantries, and more.
In addition to volunteering throughout the year, the Lake Trust team participates in Powered by Good Day, an annual day of service. The second Monday in October is dedicated to making a positive impact. And supporting overall wellbeing. The Lake Trust team volunteers at local nonprofits across the state that support education, housing, food, and health initiatives.
Annual day of service
On Monday, October 14, 2025, Lake Trust celebrated our 8th annual Powered by Good Day. In one day, 322 Lake Trust team members served 39 nonprofit organizations across Michigan and gave back over 1,000 hours of volunteer time. Creating a positive impact at nonprofits like Gleaners Community Food Bank, Kenzie's Be Café, Clothing INC, and more.
"Powered by Good Day has become a beloved tradition and an opportunity for the entire team to come together to bring Lake Trust's mission to life directly in communities we serve," said David Snodgrass, President and CEO of Lake Trust.

For the first time, Lake Trust members were invited to join team members on the day of service by participating in a blood drive with the American Red Cross, hosted at Lake Trust Headquarters. The 40 donors (including 29 first-time donors) who participated provided 42 units of blood. Blood donations help patients undergoing cancer treatments and heart surgery, accident and burn victims, and those with sickle cell disease.¹ One unit of blood can save up to three lives, so our event could potentially impact or save 126 people!
In addition to our volunteer efforts on Powered by Good Day, the Lake Trust Foundation also donated $1,000 to each organization where team members volunteered and an additional donation to a Brighton nonprofit. These local organizations often rely heavily on donations from the community to continue providing their programs and services. The Foundation's cumulative total donation of $39,000 will provide a lasting impact for these essential nonprofits beyond our volunteer hours.
