Proudly supporting impact.

Supporting local nonprofit organizations ultimately allows everyone to thrive, empower wellbeing, and multiply positive impact. Through community engagement, partnerships are developed that help us make an impact in communities across our state. We seek out opportunities to support organizations whose programs and initiatives align with our strategic priority areas.

Financial Wellbeing

Organizations that advance basic self-sufficiency in Michigan deserve our collective support. Why? Because economic security requires basic necessities, like food security and affordable housing. Education is also a critical component to promote the financial wellbeing of local neighborhoods — which is why we support annual scholarship opportunities for Michigan students.

Financial Empowerment

When you’re in control of your budget, you make better financial decisions. Community organizations that promote financial literacy and education are a key element to widespread financial empowerment.

Economic Development

Entrepreneurs and small businesses are the foundation of economic development. Our communities deserve organizations that promote workforce readiness, social impact, and capacity building. We support initiatives that encourage individuals to obtain, improve, and retain essential job skills.

Does your organization fit within our strategic priority areas? You’re invited to submit a request for a sponsorship. Simply create an account through Foundant, our online portal, and tell us why your organization or event can benefit from a sponsorship.

SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT

Empowering local businesses.

Entrepreneurs create growth in local neighborhoods. We're passionate about supporting local kitchen incubators, like Growing Hope in Ypsilanti, to help local food businesses cook up progress for healthier communities. We also support entrepreneurs by offering solutions like small business microloans to help people start or grow their business.

HOME LOANS GIVEBACK

Power that feels right at home.

For every mortgage or refinance our members close with Lake Trust and our partners at Mortgage Center, a donation is made directly to Michigan housing nonprofits. Our Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage solution also helps members experience the power of home ownership with a low down payment. And by partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and supporting several Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) projects to create new affordable housing in low-income neighborhoods, more people can experience the reality of home ownership.
