1944

The year one of our predecessor credit unions, Detroit Edison Credit Union, was chartered. Lake Trust was established in 2010 when Detroit Edison Credit Union merged with NuUnion Credit Union (formerly State Employees Credit Union). In fact, “The Power in All of Us” is in part a nod to the time in our history when we served the Detroit Edison, or DTE Energy, workforce.

Our credit union network of members is robust, diverse, and connected.

Our members have access to more than 30,000 ATMs throughout the country thanks to our partnership with the Co-Op Network. At home, a wide network of ATMs is strategically located across the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.

The Lake Trust Foundation identifies and supports local Michigan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that align with our mission to lift one another and empower wellbeing.
