Growing stronger communities.

Small businesses are at the heart of our communities. Supporting our local small food businesses, sponsoring local kitchen incubator spaces, and providing resources for local start-ups is a way we can grow stronger communities.

Making space for food businesses to thrive.

Local kitchen incubator programs provide space for food businesses to grow. They equip entry-level food entrepreneurs with an affordable space. And the small business owners also receive business development support. As a sponsor of local kitchen incubator spaces, we support fresh-food initiatives and provide resources for local start-ups to succeed.

We’re interested in the wellbeing of small businesses. And are here to support you on your journey. Together we can cultivate healthy, thriving communities.

Collaborating with community partners from the Good Food Fund, Lake Trust supports food entrepreneurs like Detroit Farm and Cider, the only cider mill within the city limits of Detroit and the country’s first black female-owned cider mill.

Our support allowed Growing Hope Incubator Kitchen to provide low-cost rental hours, purchase shared equipment, keep the Growing Hope Incubator Kitchen open longer, and Lake Trust hosted a series of educational sessions to support the continued growth of local food start-ups.

Our partnership with Allen Neighborhood Center’s Maker Kitchen offers many resources to the Lansing community. Through this sponsorship, we’ve been able to provide guidance and training to local food entrepreneurs. And watched several of them grow from the incubator kitchen to their own brick and mortar locations.
